New Beginnings
It’s been a while since I posted a blog update, and a lot has happened this past year. We made the difficult decision to leave our lovely home in Sedona, Arizona, and pull up stakes to relocate to beautiful Bryce Canyon Country in southern Utah. I won’t go into the specific criteria that influenced our decision, but suffice to say we believe this is where we are meant to be.
Our backyard is Bryce Canyon National Park, and our neighbors are Zion National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. We are surrounded by magnificent beauty, with ample opportunities to stretch my photographic skill set. Our front yard provides incredible opportunities to photograph the night sky. Over the past year, I have been able to capture the Milky Way, Northern Lights (!), and Comet A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS).
Opportunities for selling locally at Art Festivals and Boutiques abound, and I have loved meeting locals and tourists from near and far. It’s been fulfilling to say the least.
The decision to relocate provoked an experience of grieving the loss of a familiar and long-held dream. New beginnings can be difficult and adjusting has been an emotional roller-coaster. Our new home is a great fit with ample space for a studio and print space. Expanding into canvas prints has been very exciting! I am pleased to be able to offer them in addition to archival prints and metal prints. More innovation will come in a few months as I expand further into additional media and modalities with my artwork. So stay tuned!
